Presence Coaches began as a boutique coaching and consulting company by two women with a passion for storytelling

Presence Coaches, LLC, is a pioneering women owned coaching and training company that merges the art of theater with the disciplines of coaching and mindfulness to empower leaders. Founded by a mother-daughter duo, Edwardyne Cowan and Violet Bennett, both seasoned professional actresses and certified Co-Active coaches, Presence Coaches specializes in transforming leadership and communication skills. 

Our innovative approach enhances authenticity, intentionality, and compassion in individuals and organizations, promoting profound personal and professional growth. Unique to their coaching methodology is the integration of theatrical techniques and behavior science, which emphasize the importance of play and emotional connection in communication. Through mindful play, individuals authentically access emotions, fostering genuine connections and impactful leadership. Our philosophy centers on mindfulness, empowering individuals to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively.     At Presence Coaches, mindfulness is at the core of our approach to leadership development because it brings intentionality into the choices we make as leaders; who and how we choose to be. It is at the core of bringing self awareness, inner wisdom, and guidance into our professional and personal life. As coaches, it helps us fully listen so that the client feels heard, cared for, and present.

  • The Actor's Perspective

    The storytelling abilities and skill set of actors provide an effective approach for executive coaching, as they mirror essential skills for leadership development. Our philosophy underscores the significance of authentic communication, a strong sense of self and presence, attentive listening, and a generous spirit, recognizing these as parallel attributes between actors and effective leaders.

  • The Co-Active Model

    Integral to our coaching philosophy is our training in the Co-Active Model from the Co-Active Training Institute. It emphasizes a collaborative partnership between the coach and the client, where both are seen as equals in the coaching process. Our foundational belief is that the client is naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, and thus has the answers within themselves. Co-active coaching focuses on the fulfillment of the client’s agenda, promoting self-discovery, growth, and action toward their desired outcomes.
